I like to think, I’m rich. They can’t hurt me.

Strong Opinions @marksbirch: Why Startups Fail
Losing the passion. It is as simple as that. All the other reasons about scaling too fast, bad mix of co-founders, running out of money, economic upheaval, etc. are either symptoms or accelerators of the eventual downfall. When the founders just do not have the excitement anymore,…
Farewell Office Heroes (and Dessert Heroes)

Office Heroes will always have a special place in my heart. It was not only my first game but It was also the first project in my professional career that I actually cared about.
The conditions of long hours of coding were nullified by the excitement of developing something we were passionate about. It was our baby. I never once considered it work. I never dreaded waking up in the morning because I was doing what I loved.
It didn’t hit me until recently but I never really got to stop and think about the lives these games have affected by simply providing a few minutes of entertainment a day. People are allowing us as game developers to entertain them, so its only fitting we try our best to not disappoint them. Delighting millions of people, even ever so slightly through funny dialogue text, or graphics/sounds, rewarding gameply and also connecting people through these very games, has always been what I wanted to do and developing Office Heroes helped me realize that.
And even though not everyone loves our games and theres have been alot of unforeseen difficulties, its posts like these make it all worth it.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

Dream: Teeth Falling Out
I had this dream last night, one that I have had on more than one occasion. I had this tooth that was loose and ready to pluck out so I was trying to remove it. I could even taste the blood. So when I woke up I decided to google what this dream meant. Here are two separate theories of what it could mean:
Your teeth help to convey an image of attractiveness and play an important role in the game of flirtation, whether it is flashing those pearly white, kissing or necking. Thus, such dreams may stem from a fear of rejection, sexual impotence or the consequences of getting old.
Teeth are used to bite, tear, chew and gnaw. In this regard, teeth symbolize power. And the loss of teeth in your dream may be from a sense of powerlessness. Are you lacking power in some current situation? Perhaps you are having difficulties expressing yourself or getting your point across. You feel frustrated when your voice is not being heard. You may be experiencing feelings of inferiority and a lack of self-confidence in some situation or relationship in your life.
Interesting. ><
Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do.
